Chapter Dropbox in system design: How did author calculate the total number of files?

In the capacity estimation section of the Dropbox design chapter, it says:
* On average if a user has 200 files/photos, we will have 100 billion total files.

My query is how did the author decide 100 billion total files, without first informing/assuming the total number of photos a user would upload per day! Or am I missing something? Kindly elaborate.

Here, it’s assumed that each person on average would have 200 total files in his dropbox.
