Confusion about some Calculation?

Assuming a 70% capacity model (we don’t want to go above 70% of the total capacity of our storage system), total storage we will need:

1.5 petabytes / 0.7 ~= 2.14 petabytes

if we can’t go above 70% of the capacity shouldn’t the calculation be
1.5 petaBytes * 0.7 ~= blah blah rather the above calculation !!!

The calculation is right. 70% of 2.14 is 1.5. We don’t want to fill our storage capacity more than 70 percent, so we added some storage.
