I am wondering:

when you commit to the branched newfeature file1 why are the changes in the branched file1 showing in the master file1?
-
When you merge the file to the master does it merge all the changes from branch?
-
If you had a tree of branches and you wanted to merge the changes into one final repository is this even a possibility without manual merging each node in the branch?
