Is the course missing some chapters?

I feel like there are some chapters missing as every time the author talks about some exercise in the next lesson, it starts with a new theory topic. Is this correct ?

Ex: The author says “Let’s get our hands dirty in the next lesson :smiley::smiley:” and then the next chapter starts with gradient ???

And in the section he is explaining backgrounds in more detail with a Project.
