So should we use or not use the Auto Scaling? Mixed signals from the topic

So at the beginning you say:

it’s almost never useful except in very specific situations. You will almost never need to use the auto part of Auto Scaling for the reason it exists.

But later in the Recommendation block you say:

You should almost always use Auto Scaling even if you have one instance

So what would it be? To use or not to use? Can’t really figure this out… It’s said there are quite a number of helpful features there, but why write that it’s almost never useful in the beginning?
Thanks

Hi @Dmitry_Polovinkin

AWS markets Auto Scaling as a tool to manage fluctuating demand of the application. The lesson says that while this specific feature sounds great, it’s not the main reason Auto Scaling is useful. Several other benefits of using Auto Scaling are discussed in detail in the lesson that make it worthwhile to use it, so yes, we should use it.

Hope this helped!
