In designing both TinyURL and Pastebin an api_dev_key is passed to the read/write system APIs. The description for this parameter is “The API developer key of a registered account. This will be used to, among other things, throttle users based on their allocated quota.”
I don’t see any mention of where the table(s) to do this check are kept/anything about storage requirements for the dev keys. Can anyone help clear this up?
